WILL MALAYSIA BE A TERRORIST TARGET
Nobody knows so much about terrorism including me although I only attended a 4 days seminar on terrorism organised by RAID France.
I’ve a read an article written by one person who did not support any of his
statement with facts and figures. Let me tell you that they the terrorist may
target anything that symbolizes a government, ethnic group, ideology, economic
system, policy or point of view they oppose. The target can be symbolic and/or
pragmatic.
In as far as buildings or
installations, they may target embassies, government complexes, trade centres,
selected residences, learning institutions and public centres. As for
transportation, they may target airlines, vessels, buses, trains and ferries. In
the communication system, they may target radio/TV stations, transportation
terminals and satellite stations. Finally they may also target power stations,
water supply systems and oil refineries/rigs.
The Chief of Police of Jakarta
mentioned, the attacked in Jakarta is an attack to Asian. He is certainly right
if we look at a bigger picture. But for a person to say that they will not
attack KL is clearly baseless.
Their organization structure is
just like any underground organizations. Nobody knows anybody in their organization.
Suicide bomber does not know his target to the last minute. Identifying of
targets is by different person and on lot of targets. Final directive may come
from anywhere and anytime. It is a plain ‘luck’ if your location is targeted. By
looking at Asian as a whole, they can be anywhere. We are living in the
borderless world in as far as communication is concern.
The aftermath of 9/11 made Bush [USA]
and Blair [UK] a war criminal for invading and destroying Iraq for weapon of
mass destruction [WMD] which was never found. These 2 persons is the terrorist
of the highest order if I may call. Unfortunately 9/11 also shift the western media
focus to Muslim. Many ill-informed individuals fell into this cheap propaganda including Malaysian.
Finally, talking about terrorism,
it is your prerogative to opine and to say. But to mention moderate Muslim in Malaysia is very defective,
perhaps Hindus in India is more appropriate for that term because Wikipedia data
shows. And to say Malaysia is the ‘HQ’ based on communication sophistication, again Indonesia is far more better off. And finally to say Malaysia will not be targeted, I pray you
are right. Never the less, this opinion of yours is 'very provocative' if I may say.
There is no such thing as moderate and non-moderate Muslim in Islam, or liberal on non-liberal. Either
you are a Muslim or not a Muslim. Period.
If you read what Dr Anat Berko mentioned about girls lured into terrorist group, I think she is trying to tell the world about Muslim women and family in general. She is trying to belittle Muslim family institutions. And she also missed to mention that by definition, Israel and she herself are considered terrorist. However she became a terrorist because of a very effective propaganda by the Israel govt and the western media.
The double std act of US UK and Israel, is in fact the biggest act of propaganda that drive people to join any terrorist group around the world. In a nutshell, your extensive propaganda is counter productive and you need to review them.
Because no matter how much you belittle them, they are already hard core supporters of anti US Israel and UK.
